Travel through time at Black Creek Pioneer Village

Return to 19th century Toronto with the reconstruction of a village from the pioneer days, Black Creek.

In an authentic setting, the old-time Ontario countryside is reborn thanks to performances by actors in period costume. Since 1960, they have recreated life in this small village, as if it were frozen in time. Between shops, public establishments and farm buildings, count on visiting about forty homes! Some have been restored while others were completely rebuilt.
Immerse yourself in the daily life of these men and women of the past and observe their way of life. Actors are here to provide an unforgettable experience with shows and re-enactments in full-scale role-playing games. Artisans, tradesmen, printers, dressmakers… everything is done to make the experience seem more realistic. Try one of the trades, accompany musicians by playing an instrument while learning folk songs from the old times and taste real beer brewed in the Toronto area, light with sweet aromas of caramel and hops. You will have the opportunity to stay for half a day or a full day to take the time to walk around and enjoy your visit. For big eaters, it is possible to bring your own picnic!
