The Fleming, a hotel in homage to the Star Ferry

Located in the vibrant district of Wan Chai, The Fleming brings Hong Kong's legendary boat crossing from one end of the Victoria Harbour to the other to life through its boutique hotel.

The maritime decoration is full of symbols, from travels, the community and tradition. These terms, which also characterize Hong Kong, have been captured by The Fleming. The design of this boutique hotel is largely inspired by the Star Ferry, a green and white boat that has been coming and going in Victoria Harbour for a century. The details in homage to the boat are mixed in everywhere, from the cabin-like rooms to their numbers, displayed in retro-style lighting. The elevator mirrors, like those in the bathrooms, are shaped like portholes, while the backs of the blue and white benches in the hall are adjustable, like those of the Star Ferry. However, The Fleming does not forget the spirit of Hong Kong that resides there, which we find in the design of the lobby, with its scarlet wall covered with mailboxes, as well as in the corridors and the elevator, dressed in bright red. A guaranteed stay at the roots of contemporary Hong Kong.
