Shopping among friends on the Kurfürstendamm

A stroll on the Kurfürstendamm, the city's most popular shopping street is a mandatory stop during your Berlin trip.

Meander on the Kurfürstendamm. Before reaching the Kaiser Wilhelm Gedächtniskirche, between Hermès, Chanel, Louis Vuitton, Cartier and Gucci shops, take a peep at Jil Sander's boutique. Art director for her own fashion house but also Prada and ready-to-wear brands like Uniqlo, she's been called the "queen of minimalism". You may give in to a man's cotton and wool button-down shirt, or a knee-high minimalist black envelope-style dress that will highlight your figure. Close to the Tauentzienstraße, you have to make another stop by the Europa-Centre, Berlin's oldest shopping mall. This high building topped with the Mercedes logo accommodates some 70 shops, the Stachelschweine cabaret theatre and the city's tourism office. A little bit further, do not miss the GALERIA Berlin Kurfürstendamm's front windows. Better known as Karstadt, it is yet another famous department store
