La Commanderie de Peyrassol is an enchanting place combining tradition and modernity. It offers its guests an exceptional visit to ancient cellars and gardens of rare beauty, where monumental sculptures share pride of place with the century-old vineyards and trees.
In the heart of Provence, in the foothills of the Maures mountains, nestled in a natural amphitheatre, the domain of the Commanderie de Peyrassol is a jewel of the Templars. With 92 hectares of vineyards, 2,500 olive trees, and 350 hectares of hunting and truffle grounds, this winery is among the biggest in the region. If you are a wine lover, this visit is definitely not one to miss. The splendour of the Templar cross is echoed in the amazing contemporary art by Gavin Turk, César, François-Xavier Lalanne and Wim Delvove among others, and the ancient stone cellars are home to flamboyantly modern vats in which superb wines mature.
Throughout the year, Peggy's friendly team welcomes you for wine tastings and winery visits. And if you happen to want to spend the night, the guesthouse awaits!
