Graffiti nudges the urban landscape

In some parts of the city, the buildings are covered with vibrant colours, a remarkable testimony to a 21st century art form.

Thanks to Pick Up Production's initiative, and notable artists, graffiti and its very contemporary subjects have gate-crashed more and more of the city's surfaces.

On the Ile de Nantes, major works, such as those of the Fabrique art lab, whose mutant cat is the star of the neighbourhood's vibrant fresco, are being perpetuated. Created by three highly creative young artists, Ador, Sémor, and Korsé, they adorn the concrete foundations of the old blockhouse, which also hosts a compressed bus in its structure, its knowing win knot to be missed day or night. The constantly renewed works of high-colour graffiti artists may also be seen randomly on the island behind the city court and along the Loire, right up to the Maillé Brézé, a former Naval squadron escort ship that has become an ephemeral museum that also features street art colours, to the delight of fans.
