At her new restaurant, Stephanie Izard offers an American Midwest-West Coast fusion, using local inspirations and regional produce. The daring chef sets herself apart with constant experimentation: take her sticky glazed pork shank served with shiitake mushrooms, strawberries, hoisin mayo, mustard and naan; pan-fried opah accompanied by a green sauce and almonds for seafood lovers; or whole grilled broccoli with smoked blue cheese and crunchy spices.
