Danubio: a cantina for regulars

Danubio: a cantina for regulars

An unpretentious seafood restaurant that, nonetheless, attracts politicians and celebrities.

Time flows in this venerable institution in the historic centre of Mexico without seeming to leave the smallest footprint. Originally opened in 1936 by immigrants from the Basque Country, the influence of Basque cuisine has remained strong throughout the years.

You will love the vintage pictures in their gilt frames, white tablecloths on the tables, autographed napkins that adorn the walls, and also a timeless ambiance that is so much the charm of the place.

Enjoy house specialties, like langoustines, lobster Thermidor, oysters au gratin, and crab ceviche. Each dish, ultra-fresh, is prepared only to order. Let yourself be tempted by the wine list, which focuses on Spanish wines.
